Tobe's Adventures begins!

Tobe's Hookshot Escape is finally live, and you can try it on Newgrounds, Kongregate or here, on our very own site. If you haven't heard, Tobe's Hookshot Escape is an endless platformer, one of those sweet addictive experience, where you climb as high as you can, fighting for a better score. You know the drill.

The game is also available on Windows Phone 7, which should be released some time next week. We'll be having a release promotion, selling the game at $0.99 for a limited time. Plus, additional content, not found in the original flash version will be added. But more on that later.

Hookshot Escape is first of the 3 Tobe's games we're releasing, with Tobe's Vertical Adventure coming to Steam and Gamersgate 12 June (tentative release date). If you like to learn more about the games, definitely check out Tobe's Vertical Adventure instruction manual

There's also Tobe's Great Escape, coming slightly after, probably some time in mid June on flash. I hope you guys will enjoy the game, and we can then put Tobe on more adventures (and worse situations)!

Tobe's VA : to be release on Steam & Gamersgate

We actually promised (on Twitter actually) that we will be announcing the release date last week... but we didn't. Well the thing is we couldn't, but for a good reason. We managed to get Steam's agreement the last minute, and wanted to finalize the details before the announcement.

So yes, the game finally have a tentative release date, which is on 12th June 2011. As of now, we are implementing the Steam SDK, things like achievement and hopfully more.

Tobe's Hookshot Escape, the flash and Windows Phone 7 version will also be released soon(within the month), once we've got a sponsor for the flash version.

What's new in Tobe's VA?

Tobe's Vertical Adventure was previously released on the XBLIG which included 16 levels, which spans across 4 different island. The new PC version remains largely the same, but added Nana storyline as an alternate character who's slower, less agile but with the ability to perform a double jump. This should enhance the replayability, especially in the co-op mode which player can now make up for each other's incapility.

With 2 unique characters and a total of 4 islands and 16 levels to explore, the game will last you for hours.

If you haven't heard about Tobe before, it's a retro platformer for the XBLIG, which thankfully, manage to get us some pretty decent feedbacks and reviews back in the days. The game was developed before setting up Secret Base, and since the completion of Bitejacker recently, we've been busy trying to furthur polish it and to bring it over to the PC. Now that the port is completed, we are looking at different game portals like desura, gamersgate and so on to facilitate the sales. Once we establish that, this is what you gonna get...
