Vertical Adventures Delayed & Hookshot Escape Release Date

As you know, there's a lot going on here with Hookshot Escape (WP7) being pushed back and all. Unfortunately, this has affected the release for Vertical Adventure on the PC. We're not 100% sure on this yet, but the tentative release date will be 1st July 2011, so rest assured, it will only be a short push back, in a matter of weeks, not months.

(Update: Vertical Adventure will be release on 18th July 2011, to avoid being drown in all the summer sales. Please help to spread the word, and not let that happen!)

For those that didn't already know, Tobe's Vertical Adventure is set for the Steam & Gamersgate. The game now comes with controller support, scores, an alternate character of different stats and ability and achievements for Steam players.

As of Hookshot Escape (WP7), the game will finally be released on 20th June, and an expansion featuring alternate character will also be added later.

Tobe's Hookshot Escape Delayed

It's kinda sad to say this, but it looks like we won't be able to release the game on Windows Phone 7 today. We've made a mistake on the game certification process during the submission, so we're now resubmiting the game again.

It will take a while before Microsoft gets back to us. If everything sails smoothly, we should have the game ready for release next Monday.

I apologise for the delay, and hope that you will check out the game again when it's out.

Tobe's Adventures begins!

Tobe's Hookshot Escape is finally live, and you can try it on Newgrounds, Kongregate or here, on our very own site. If you haven't heard, Tobe's Hookshot Escape is an endless platformer, one of those sweet addictive experience, where you climb as high as you can, fighting for a better score. You know the drill.

The game is also available on Windows Phone 7, which should be released some time next week. We'll be having a release promotion, selling the game at $0.99 for a limited time. Plus, additional content, not found in the original flash version will be added. But more on that later.

Hookshot Escape is first of the 3 Tobe's games we're releasing, with Tobe's Vertical Adventure coming to Steam and Gamersgate 12 June (tentative release date). If you like to learn more about the games, definitely check out Tobe's Vertical Adventure instruction manual. 

There's also Tobe's Great Escape, coming slightly after, probably some time in mid June on flash. I hope you guys will enjoy the game, and we can then put Tobe on more adventures (and worse situations)!

TOBE'S VERTICAL ADVENTURE

Tobe's Vertical Adventure is about Tobe, the overly devoted gamer who's been force on a treasure hunt by his materialistic crush, Nana. The big head duo will travel back back and forth in the crumbling caves in search of treasures while rescuing fluffy animals, making you scream kawaii ne~ along the way. With 2 unique characters and a total of 4 islands and 16 levels to explore, the game will last you for hours.

If you haven't heard about Tobe before, it's a retro platformer for the XBLIG, which thankfully, manage to get us some pretty decent feedbacks and reviews back in the days. The game was developed before setting up Secret Base, and since the completion of Bitejacker recently, we've been busy trying to furthur polish it and to bring it over to the PC. Now that the port is completed, we are looking at different game portals like desura, gamersgate and so on to facilitate the sales. Once we establish that, this is what you gonna get...
